At  The  Margin

I am sea-slosh
a world away beyond
the reach of my own eyes

Sundered   I  surrender

Reassemble me

Paste me together with sea foam
sea anemone for heart
starfish arms
legs of squid
shells of clam

and

I will get up and walk over
the dunes past a tree full of blackbirds
to the house with gingerbread trim

In the attic memory ghosts
play cards while they wait for
my footstep on the stair
