OUT OF THE SAUNA

slippery as a hot seal
heavy as a white bear
bare as the moon
and moon drunk

I roll me
dizzy down hill
unspooling laughter
louder than wolf song

frost scalded

I'm melting a path
in the matted grass
and the grass
springs loose behind me

Look at me Fox

slat thin Lynx
who screams like a woman

Watch me
slit
the lake's taut skin

I'm
a
fish
come to rest in the weeds
by
the dock
where you sit
with your bare farmer feet
dangling above me

like

bait
